Shift-click on an object then select either Make Dirty or Make Clean to change the status of the item.
Shift-click on an object then choose Reset Object to reset its status.
Shift-click on a Sim then pick Modify in CAS to edit them in Create-a-Sim, other than their name and inherited traits.
Shift-click on an area of ground then select Teleport Sim to transport a Sim to that location.

You can also lock in their current needs state by selecting Cheat Need then Disable Need Decay.
